Facebook cover photo templates

I’ve lost count of the amount Facebook cover images I’ve created for clients.

I forget to remember the measurements every time. So I’ve decided to post it here so I know where it is for next time!

You can search for this on Google too. The number one hit will most probably be louisem.com. If you visit her page you can not only get the measurements (buried in the blog page) but you can read the 2200 word essay on the history of the measurements and how they’ve changed over the last decade. Do you have time to do that?

No one does.

But she keeps it long and confusing because she sells advertising and needs to you hang around and read her 2200 word essay.

Here are the measurements for the new design Facebook cover image for 2020:

  • Pixel dimensions don’t matter. Just make it big so that Facebook’s jpg engine doesn’t compress it into mush. My template is 1200px x 674px
  • This format will create a jpg that works on desktop and mobile
  • Download the JPG template or the powerpoint template.

Job done and in less than 2200 words.
