{"id":4022,"date":"2019-06-03T11:14:44","date_gmt":"2019-06-03T11:14:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/russellmoverley.com\/?p=4022"},"modified":"2021-12-01T10:40:21","modified_gmt":"2021-12-01T10:40:21","slug":"redesign-or-refresh","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/russellmoverley.com\/redesign-or-refresh\/","title":{"rendered":"Redesign or Refresh?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>While working on a website recently, I had the opportunity to explore a quick brand redesign or refresh.<\/p>\n<p>Without much budget we opted for a refresh as the the icon had been in use for some time and had built up some conceptual equity.<\/p>\n<p>The main issues with the original were poor reproduction at smaller sizes, poor clarity, and it lacked a level of finish and craft that could elevate it to reflect the premium quality of the service.<\/p>\n<p>This redesign began as a free hand drawing with brush pen to achieve better strokes. I moved that to digital and then began crafting it further with colour.
